Depth Guild // Alliance // Blackrock

Depth has been around for almost 3 years now.  We started raiding consistently quite late in TBC but we have caught up and are now one of the top alliance guilds on Blackrock.

In terms of progression, we stand at 3/6 in Sunwell having completed everything else (PvE) in TBC.  Like other guilds, we are struggling for numbers and the last few weeks/months, it has severely impacted on our ability to progress.  Not at the fault of anyone in particular, but due to the stringent requirements for Sunwell raids, straying from the perfect raid group can just fuck you entirely for the night.  This means, we need to recruit, and fast if we are to finish the content before WOTLK comes out.

We desperately need the following:
1x Warlock
1x Shadow Priest

Rest assured however, we want others too.  ANY AND ALL DECENTLY GEARED/SKILLED DPS WILL BE CONSIDERED!

Well like some guilds, we’ve been running ZA runs for a while to get our members bears.  When ZA first started, some of us got together and decided to run bear runs until the entire group of us had one.  If we really had no shortage of time, sure, we could of done this a lot sooner, but as it turns out, we haven’t had time to do one every 3 days, let alone every week.  We’ve done some every week, and then not one for a few weeks.  Last Friday we finally finished getting the last of our bears for the "original" team of members.

 

Note: Admeta not in this screenshot, he is back playing horde again, so if you see Dwell around from JWI, gank him!!!!! 

The order in which they were received:

Snorz, Sakurachan, Nutteh, Logar, Xrhino, Lavender, Admeta, Facesmasher, Oakshana, Marline, Tirasaru, Samaria.

It has been fun doing these runs, and now we are at the point where we will either sell them or give them to other valuable and deserving members. 

Last week we were pretty tight in terms of time left for raiding.  We literally got Kael down last week within our last 15 minutes of raiding for the week.  If we had not have gotten him down then, Kael would have been an exercise in punishment this week.  As it turns out, we got him down for our second time and finally got people attuned to BT.  Peace out Rage Winterchill you gigangic trash mob you.

 

All I can say is, thank god the trash drops items now.  Talk about a pain in the ass to loot etc though with everything else going on.  Not to mention also, you wipe, all the bodies disappear so pZ any loot you had lying around.  Few people already picked up some trash epics (3 trash + pattern in total so far). 

After getting this trash mob down, we went to SMV and the majority of the raid got attuned for BT which we’ll be hitting up today some time.  While we were there, we saw this eMO robot and put it out of its misery.  We’d never had the time to get Doomwalker down and he was there so….  why not!

 

Hopefully Tier 6 is going to mean a heap of updates over the coming weeks.  A few more weeks of Kael to get the guild attuned and we’ll be focusing on Tier 6 mainly. 

Last night we finally got Magtheridon down ZZ.  A couple of weeks ago we got him to 70% and thats pretty much a kill right?  Just learn to click FFS!  Class balance was utter shithouse but we finally do it.  2 warlocks + 2 hunters CC in stage 1 FTW.

A big welcome to our two newest members: Branket, Alarick whom we probably wouldn’t of been able to do Magtheridon without due to our lack of healers and balance recently. 

Certainly something I would like to have posted months ago, and quite rightly should have.  For some reason, we just never got around to doing Illhoof or Netherspite.  We have been having some crap turnout’s for Karazhan and quite frankly, with the quality of the loot, who could blame them.  We did however finally get around to actually trying these bosses rather than walking in for a 5 minute piss about with a group which wasn’t balanced properly.

 

I’m pretty much over Karazhan already myself, which I’m sure most people are.  It’s just a pain in the ass that you need this shit house instance to get onto any other serious raiding.  Depth will be starting Magtheridon tomrorow (Thurs 10/5) and hopefully next week, we’ll have the numbers in order to enter Serpentshrine Cavern.  We’ll be undoubtably looking for people to go to Serpentstrine with us soon so if you are interested, post an application on http://www.depthguild.com/forums.  We are interested to hear from any talented player. 

We had some unfinished business in Gruul’s Lair.  Last Thursday, Gruul got off easy.  We let that dude sulk after we wasted his posse.  Depth rolled up in da pimp mobile today to smash that one-eyed fag, once and for all.  Depth this time however, had a secret weapon!

 

These wiggaz were waitin’ on the sidelines to smash Gruul if that pansy came running out, not to mention puttin’ in a couple of shots.  Now, for da kill shotz..

 

Grats to Ruffrogue on his pimpin’ new tier 4 legz.  The rest of da loot was shit and not worth mentionin’.  Next week dat nigga is gonna drop da good l00tz.

Congratulations go out to Team 2 of Karazhan led by Lexsor.  Last night after Gruul, they went back to Karazhan and killed Curator.  They are now up to Aran and should have that place cleared in no time!
