Depth Guild // Alliance // Blackrock

On our second week in Blackwing Lair, Depth did the unthinkable and downed Vaelastrasz the Corrupt!  This was a fantastic effort by everyone in the guild and it took numerous attempts.  We took Razorgore on our first night of attempts last week.  This week we got our first [The Untamed Blade] which is very very lucky for a guild just starting out in Blackwing Lair.  Grats to Kurrupted on receiving that.

Tomorrow we’re gonna clear that hideous trash to Broodlord and wtf pwn him.  Expect another post soon!

Congratulations to Pigwinkle on hitting level 60!  God knows its taken you so long already.  Now finally people may sleep with you.  Such an adorable creature, who wouldn’t want to?

Lexsor one of our warriors has been a bit weird since he got [Thekal?s Grasp] about 3 weeks back.  He keeps running around and typing /meow emotes all the time.  For some reason he thought it would turn him into a tiger.  Well after a lot of runs to ZG he finally picked up the other half, [Arlokk?s Grasp].  This was the third epic we picked up from the lesser bosses in the one run having previously picked up [Mandokir?s Sting] and some piece of trash from the Bat Aspect boss.

One thing the guild has needed for a while is for our Main Tanks to get [Quel?Serrar] or something as good to tank with especially since we are heading into Blackwing Lair soon.  The guild has had a competition going where if a [Foror?s Compendium of Dragon Slaying] was found, when this was turned into the guild you would receive 600dkp (approx 3-4 epics from MC).  Ayunee was lucky enough to pick one up on a run on a Dire Maul North Full Tribute.  Ayunee handed this to the guild and our first Quel’Serrar goes to our 1st Main Tank – Xarg.

Next is our 2nd main tank – Trippie.  Thank you to Ayunee for making this possible.

Depth started up at the end of September 2005.  After about 3 weeks we finally had enough numbers to raid Molten Core.  We finally started serious attempts of Ragnaros on 15 December.  Due to some sort of luck with the server on our 4th attempt, Ragnaros bugged (sons didn’t spawn) and we got a free kill.  We were not satisfied with this as this was not a "REAL" kill.  About 2 weeks later on 27 December, we killed Ragnaros properly and was a pretty close affair.  He dived on second sons with less than 1000 hp and much kiting happened in the 2nd sons to finally be finished off by a lone paladin with Hammer of Wrath (go Edary).

Our skill on the Ragnaros is clearly improving with an unpotted attempt getting him down to 15%.  Not to mention we are also did not have our regular main tank at this kill and our second main tank was being played by a paladin! 

Good work to everyone in the guild which makes these achievements possible every week.
